Thanks for checking out Modern Media Composer. I'm Jonas Friedman, composer on the CW series Walker: Independence, CBS's hit series Blue Bloods and Fox's Next. In addition to my work in television, I've written music on several top Hollywood films including Halo (Paramount+), The New Mutants (Marvel/Disney) Alita: Battle Angel (Fox), and several others.

Throughout my career I've contributed music to over 300 episodes of television & 9 feature films including multiple projects for Academy and Emmy Award-winning directors, producers and showrunners.

In 2023 I was hiring a new assistant for my studio and had over 100 applicants, many from top music and film scoring programs. However, only a small handful seemed capable of jumping into the studio and helping me juggle multiple projects. After learning from colleagues that it was very common to spend months training already great musicians, getting them up-to-speed for working on major studio projects, I decided to create Modern Media Composer. This is a resource where composers, musicians and producers can get real world knowledge about music writing & production, in addition to the lessons I've learned about the business of composing for film, tv and video games.
